With the Boys High School National Championships finished, we have the chance to look at over 500 rugby players and rank the top five in each position.

Yes, it's true that there are two props on a team but only one scrumhalf; however, that just served to make it harder on FloRugby to make the decisions. We selected players based solely on their performances at Nationals. Thus, for example, Garrett Kay, possibly the best high school player in the nation, doesn't make the cut because he was sick and missed most of the final two days.
In our list below of the top forwards are the forwards, we cheated a little in that we listed six locks, because we had a hard time separating the two guys at No. 5. We also didn't shift players. If someone is a flanker but would be better as a hooker, we don't list him at hooker. The only position shift we made at all was moving Will Lyke from a No. 8 to flanker, which has been his position many times.
Finally, if your favorite players didn't make this list, don't be discouraged. These players were picked from 24 or 48 candidates (at least). Not being there doesn't mean we think a player is ineffective.
