Eagle Women Chosen For WRWC Semis
The USA women's national team has chosen its lineup to face New Zealand in the Women's Rugby World Cup semifinals at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Tuesday at noon ET (9 AM PT).

Eagles head coach Pete Steinberg has made no changes to her selected players following the USA's 47-26 loss to England last Thursday. While the Eagles closed their Pool B slate with a defeat, they garnered a crucial bonus point in that match to secure a semifinal spot as the best second-place pool team.

Undefeated in the tournament, New Zealand enters the semifinals following three dominant wins in Pool A, including a 48-5 triumph over Canada.

For the USA, its strong defense was tested and beaten against England, and the Eagles will have to be better in the knockout game -- a matchup in which the Americans are most certainly the underdogs.

However, by reaching the semis, the USA team has made this the most successful Women's Rugby World Cup for the Eagles since 1998. Now they have their sights set on a berth in the final. England will play France in the other semifinal in Belfast.
