Leinster Prop Andrew Porter Fortunate To Avoid Card For Off The Ball Tackle
Leinster Rugby prop Andrew Porter is fortunate to avoid a yellow card for an off-the-ball tackle against Toulouse in the Heineken Champions Cup semi-finals.
Leinster Rugby cruised to yet another Heineken Champions Cup final following a resounding 41 – 22 demolition of Toulouse.
In a clash where the hosts thoroughly outperformed their visitors, the game was rarely close save for ten minutes before halftime.
Yet, for all of their brilliance, Leinster will be rather thankful to the television directors who failed to pick up a number of incidents that are now being heavily debated online.
One such incident involves Irish Prop Andrew Porter, who was awfully fortunate to avoid a card for an incident that was missed by the match officials.
With Toulouse on the attack, Porter can be seen picking up Argentinean international winger Juan Cruz MallÃa before unceremoniously slamming him to the ground.
Known as a true enforcer, Porter plays the game to the edge, but this incident would appear to have crossed the line.
Andrew Porter were very, very lucky here 😬
