Leinster Rugby enters the 2023-2024 URC season the favorite to win the Grand Final. Here's a look at the schedule.
The United Rugby Championship returns on Oct.21, but Irish powerhouse Leinster Rugby’s quest to walk away with some kind of championship this season starts on Oct. 22.
The eastern Irish province team was close to, and expected to, win two championships last season. Leinster lost in the URC semifinals to Munster just seven days before losing to La Rochelle Rugby in the Heineken Champions Cup (now called the Investec Champions Cup) Grand Final.

It turned out to be a tough few months for much of the Leinster Rugby roster. The club is made up of several Irish national team members who were upset on Oct. 14 in the 2023 Rugby World Cup in the quarterfinals by New Zealand.

Leinster Will Compete For The Investec Champions Cup
Because Leinster finished in the top eight of the URC, they qualified for the Champions Cup, which was formerly known as the Heineken Champions Cup and now the Investec Champions Cup.
Leinster will face La Rochelle Rugby in a rematch of the Champions Cup Grand Final on Dec. 10 at 10:15 a.m. ET. The game is at Stade Marcel Deflandre in France.
How Leinster Rugby Got Its name?
Leinster is named after the province, like all the other Irish clubs. The logo is a rugby ball with a harp, much like Guinness Beer, in the middle. The harp is the ancient symbol of the region.
