Cardiff Rugby Preview: URC Schedule 2023-2024, Odds And How To Watch
Cardiff Rugby will compete in the Investec Champions Cup while also looking to return to the URC playoffs in 2024. Here's what to know.
The Cardiff Rugby club enters the United Rugby Championship season looking to build on a 9-0-9 record last year, when Cardiff finished 10th in the standings, but also won the Welsh Shield, thus qualifying for this year's Investec Champions Cup.
Cardiff missed the URC playoffs by just four points and they also missed the Champions Cup last season after a 7-0-11 record in 2021-2022.
The club is moving in the right direction record-wise, despite a coaching change following a bullying scandal this summer.

Cardiff Rugby is going to have to be better to advance to next year’s Champions Cup.
The Champions Cup and URC changed the qualification for the Champions Cup that favors the top eight of the table and not the top eight and the shield, the regional divisions in the URC, winners.
Even though South African team Hollywoodbets Sharks finished eighth in the URC standings, they finished third in the South African Shield, while Cardiff won the Welsh Shield.
The Cardiff Rugby team, also known as the Blues, will face Italian club Benetton to open the season on Oct. 21.
Here’s what to know about Cardiff Rugby.
