The Investec Champions Cup begins Dec. 8 across Europe and South Africa as 24 of some of the best rugby clubs in the world compete for the European championship. 

Established in 1995, the Champions Cup has crowned champions for almost 30 years and this year features clubs from Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, France and South Africa. The tournament includes teams from the United Rugby Championship, Top 14 and Gallagher Premiership.

The goal is to reach London’s Tottenham HotSpur Stadium in late May, where the Champions Cup Final will be played. 

But to get there, teams must manage through a 16-team playoff that follows four rounds of pool play.

Who Is In The Investec Champions Cup Rugby Pool 3?

Here are the six teams in Pool 3:

• Munster Rugby (URC)
• Aviron Bayonnais (Top 14)
• Glasgow Warriors (URC)
• Exeter Chiefs (Gallagher Premiership)
• RC Toulon (Top 14)
• Northampton Saints (Gallagher Premiership)

2024 Investec Champions Cup Rugby Pool 3 Outlook

The defending URC champions, Munster Rugby, and the defending Gallagher Premiership champion Exeter lead the field. Exeter reached the semifinals of the Champions Cup in 2023 before running into eventual champion La Rochelle. 

Glasgow, meanwhile, continues to be a tough club in Scotland with wins over Leinster, Ulster and DHL Stormers in URC play already in 2023-2024 season. 

The Glasgow Warriors ended November at the top of the URC Table.
