Snyman, who has spent the bulk of his four-year tenure with Munster battling injuries, was expected to return in March, but he looks set to return for Munster’s clash with Welsh side Scarlets on Friday.
Ahern, who was called up to the Irish senior side for the Guinness Six Nations, has completed his return-to-play protocols following the concussion he suffered against the Northampton Saints in the Investec Champions Cup.
Elsewhere, utility forward Cian Hurley is stepping up his training load after a long-term Achilles injury, while back-three player Patrick Campbell will undergo surgery on a shoulder injury and "will be unavailable for the coming 4-5 months. "
Completing Munster’s long list of injured players are: Simon Zebo (knee), John Hodnett (finger), Paddy Patterson (knee), Jack O’Donoghue (knee), Dave Kilcoyne (shoulder), Diarmuid Barron (foot), Jean Kleyn (eye/knee), Liam Coombes (shoulder) and Roman Salanoa (knee). They are listed as "continuing to rehab."
Munster is 11th on the URC table and will face the Northampton Saints in the Round of 16 of the Investec Champions Cup.
