For the first time since 2017, the Super Rugby Pacific league has a new champion, but it's a familiar one. 

The Blues, from Auckland, New Zealand, defeated the Chiefs, from Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, 41-10 to claim the 2024 Super Rugby title.

It's the fifth championship for the Blues, who snap a seven-year reign by the Christchurch, New Zealand powerhouse Crusaders, who won every Super Rugby final from 2017-2023. There was no final in 2020 or 2021. 

The Blues are firmly in second-place all-time with five Super Rugby titles. The Crusaders have 12 since 1996.
