The first of two international rugby showdowns between the 2023 Rugby World Cup runner-up, New Zealand, and RWC semifinalist England is set for 3 a.m. EST on July 6 at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand. 

The All Blacks, the No. 3-ranked team in the world behind South Africa and Ireland, are embarking on a new era with Scott "Razor" Robertson taking over as head coach this year. Robertson is one of the most successful professional rugby coaches in the world after having led the Crusaders to seven Super Rugby Championships.

England, ranked No. 5 in the world, is in its second year of rebuilding after the Eddie Jones era ended in 2022. The Roses enter the summer after a strong run in the Rugby World Cup followed by a 3-2 record in the 2024 Six Nations. England scored a 23-22 win over Ireland Rugby at the 2024 Six Nations. 

Both squads will be different this summer as some squads have lost players who are no longer eligible to play for the countries, like Owen Farrell for England, and others are playing in the Olympics. But this match will still feature some of the best players in the world.
