USA Rugby is opening its summer rugby international schedule with old rival Romania, which the Eagles famously beat 100 years ago in the 1924 Paris Olympic Games. 

USA vs. Romania Rugby will kick off at 8 p.m. Eastern on July 5 at Seat Geek Stadium in Chicago. It'll be the first big test for coach Scott Lawrence, who took over as the official coach for the Eagles in January.

Lawrence already has made improvements to his coaching staff, and FloRugby analyst and reporter Philip Bendon said the American program has young talent. That will help as it tries to adopt a more European style development program.
