Some of the best rugby players in the world are in the thick of their 2024 summer international season following a long professional season that just ended. 

Others are preparing to represent their countries at the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris in the rugby sevens tournament. 

With the eyes of the sport turning from the recently ended United Rugby Championship, Top 14 and Super Rugby seasons, it's time to look at who the best players in the world are in 2024. 

The top spot should come as little surprise after Antoine Dupont led Toulouse to both Investec Champions Cup and Top 14 title. He'll be one of the star rugby players at the Paris Games.
