The top two teams in the world met for the second time in seven days as No. 1 South Africa hosted No. 2 Ireland at Kings Park in Durban, South Africa.

While South Africa beat Ireland a week ago at Loftus Versfeld Stadium, the second game would prove to be an absolutely classic match between the rivals.

It came down to the end, but Ireland pulled off its second win ever against the Springboks on South African soil. The Irish came with ferocious intensity in the first half, putting themselves up 16-6 at the half. 

South Africa roared back in the second half, putting itself in the lead multiple times, as the teams scratched and clawed for the win.

However, the lads from the emerald isle willed themselves to the win. It was Ciaran Frawley who scored a drop goal in the final few seconds of play to secure the win for Ireland, 25-24.

Ireland Set Tone With Physicality

Ireland came out of the gate hitting hard against South Africa. 

Bodies were flying, blood was flowing and the hits were fantastic.

South Africa met the Irish intensity in the second half and got back in the game.

While it was back and forth, the Irish take home the win in the end.

A classic test match through and through.

Final Score: Ireland 25, South Africa 24

What a classic in Durban. This is only Ireland's second win on South African soil.

After a goal line drop-out in the South Africa end, Ireland responds with a brilliant drop goal from Ciaran Frawley. 

The game is moving quite fast now, and it feels like the tide could turn either way.

Irish Mistakes, Pollard Scores Again; 24-19

Ireland makes another error in its own end, leading to another Handre Pollard penalty goal.

South Africa is leading with 24 points to Ireland's 19.

Pollard has successfully made seven penalties in the game. 

He's kicked South Africa into the lead twice in just a few minutes. 

This game is far from over, though.

It continues to be a hotly contested game, albeit low on tries.

The Springboks score six while Doris is in the sin bin, with only a minute left on his yellow card. 

The winds have changed, and the crowd is back in the match.

The Springboks are inching their way back into the game, but so far have been held from scoring a try.

It might not matter, however, as the man advantage continues with Doris in the bin. South Africa is attacking.

They will certainly try their best to take the score during the man advantage.

Ireland vs. South Africa has been another classic so far, in what has become the best rivalry in the world.

Handre Pollard puts another three on the board for the Springboks.

They are scratching their way back, despite being seven points shy of Ireland.

That didn't take long. The Springboks come out punching after the second half begins. 

Kurt-Lee Arendse breaks through the gap and makes a huge run but fails to score a try.

Ireland's defense has done its best to stop the Springboks thus far.

The teams go into the locker room with Ireland ahead by 10. 

It's been a scrappy game so far with a lot of blood and sweat and a few scraps between opposing sides.

Ireland awarded a scrum on the 5-meter line. A great chance for the Irish to score before halftime.

The first points are on the board, as Ireland's scrum half puts up three points for his side only five minutes into the match.

The kick was not from a difficult spot, and he converted it easily.

He still managed to make two penalties and two conversions, but the three missed kicks would've put South Africa out of Ireland's reach much earlier in the match. 

The Leicester Tiger man should shake off last week's misses, considering he is one of the best players in the world. He'll start again today for the Springboks.

Jamie Osborne Starts Again At No. 15

Leinster youngster Jamie Osborne will start again today for Ireland, picking up only his second cap - his first was last week.

The 6-foot-4 fullback scored a wonderful try against South Africa for the first of his senior international career. 

Andy Farrell's 50th Test Match For Ireland

This match marks 50 tests for Andy Farrell as gaffer for Ireland. Only three other coaches in Ireland history have more (Declan Kidney, Joe Schmidt and Eddie O’Sullivan).

According to Opta, Farrell has won 79.6% of his first 49 test matches (39-10).
