After a heartbreaking loss to Ireland at the death a week ago, the Springboks will continue their summer international schedule - staying on South African soil. 

This week they'll welcome Portugal Rugby to Bloemfontein. It will be the first test match between the teams.

Despite the defeat, South Africa's place in the rugby world order remained largely unmoved. The Springboks maintained their No. 1 overall spot in the World Rugby Rankings, losing only a point.

Os Lobos, standing at No. 16 overall, defeated Namibia a week ago, 37-22.

This week, Rassie Erasmus named a new Springboks captain - Salmaan Moerat will take the helm for the match against Portugal.
