The South Africa Springboks and Australia Wallabies will face off at Optus Stadium in Perth for the second round of the Rugby Championship 2024.

South Africa's head coach, Rassie Erasmus, has made significant changes to the team that triumphed over Australia in Brisbane, with 10 new players being introduced to the starting lineup. This strategic rotation aims to build squad depth and provide younger players with valuable game time. 

Notable inclusions are scrumhalf Morne van den Berg and lock Ruan Nortje, both earning their first starts for the Springboks. Salmaan Moerat will captain the side, with experienced players like Cheslin Kolbe, Jesse Kriel and Pieter-Steph du Toit retaining their positions. 

On the other side, the Wallabies, under the guidance of head coach Joe Schmidt, will be eager to bounce back from their previous defeat. 

The Aussies have yet to release their lineup but expect changes, as Schmidt continues to move puzzle pieces around hoping for a better result against the Boks.
