All Blacks Retain Josh Lord And Harry Plummer For South Africa Tour
All Blacks retain Josh Lord and Harry Plummer for South Africa Rugby Championship tour, as Tuipulotu and Perofeta remain injured. Barrett should return.
The All Blacks have confirmed that lock Josh Lord and utility back Harry Plummer will remain in the squad for the upcoming Rugby Championship matches against South Africa. This decision follows injuries to Patrick Tuipulotu and Stephen Perofeta, who both remain sidelined.

Lord and Plummer initially were called up to cover for injuries during the recent tests against Argentina in New Zealand. Tuipulotu and Perofeta were forced out of action after suffering calf injuries, prompting the squad changes.
Lord made appearances off the bench in both matches, stepping up due to a finger injury sustained by captain Scott Barrett. The All Blacks split the series with the Pumas, losing in Wellington, before bouncing back with a victory in Auckland.
Barrett is expected to recover in time for the critical tests in Johannesburg on Aug. 31 and Cape Town the following week. These matches could determine the winner of the Rugby Championship.
Meanwhile, loose forward Luke Jacobson and prop Ethan de Groot also will travel with the squad, despite nursing hamstring and neck issues, respectively.
Plummer, who offers versatility by covering fly-half and fullback positions, remains one of two uncapped players in the squad, alongside outside back Ruben Love.
The All Blacks will face a significant challenge against the world champion Springboks, as the Southern Hemisphere's top teams vie for the title.
