Stade Français won more rugby matches than Toulouse did in the 2023-2024 Top 14 regular season, but finished one point behind Stade Toulousain in the final standings, 76 to 75. 

Stade Français hopes to close that narrow gap this season.

The club went 17-1-8 in Top 14 play and lost a heart-breaking game in the domestic league playoffs to Union Bordeaux Bègles Rugby, 22-20. 

Stade Français also qualified for the Investec Champions Cup this season and will play in Pool 3 starting in December. Last season the club failed to advance out of the knockout stage. 

By the time Champion Cup season arrives, Stade Français will be deep in the Top 14 season, which begins on Sept. 7 against that same UBB club at 3:05 p.m. ET to end the first day of Top 14 action in the new season.
