The league that has produced the last five European Champions Cup winners, and the top league in the country that won Olympic Gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics in Rugby 7s, returns for Week 1 action on Sept. 7.
The Top 14, one of the top professional leagues in the world and powered by juggernaut and defending Investec Champions Cup winner Toulouse, begins its 2024-2025 season with seven matches across Sept. 7 and Sept. 8.

Toulouse Rugby (or Stade Toulousain), one of the most dominant professional rugby clubs in the history of the sport, enters the season hoping for a 24th Top 14 championship. The legendary club will play the newest club in Week 1 as RC Vannes, the Pro D2 champions, plays its first game ever in Top 14 after their promotion to league 1.
It won’t be easy for Toulouse and star Antoine Dupont to three-peat in the Top 14.
Union Bordeaux Bègles, or UBB Rugby, reached the Top 14 Final last season and had a strong run in the Champions Cup. Meanwhile, La Rochelle Rugby (or Stade Rochelais) appears healthy and ready to get back on track after a disappointing 2023-2024 season. The winners of the 2022 and 2023 Champions Cup, La Rochelle, led by Will Skelton, finished fifth in the league standings last season.
Also eyeing a breakthrough is Racing 92, who is adding English star Owen Farrell to the ranks this season.
