The biggest showdown of the United Rugby Championship season arrives in Round 4 as one of professional rugby's best rivalry renews on Oct. 12 at 12:45 p.m. ET

Leinster Rugby, the Eastern Irish province club, hosts the South Irish province club Munster Rugby in a massive URC match at Croke Park.

Leinster Rugby is atop of the URC table and continues to make a strong case as the best team in the league. The preseason favorite to win it all, Leinster Rugby has followed its bonus-point, narrow win over Edinburgh on the road with big wins over the RFC Dragons and Benetton Rugby and already has 15 points in the standings. 

Meanwhile, Munster Rugby is two weeks removed from suffering a historic loss to Zebre Parma in Italy, but rebounded quite nicely on a rain-soaked field against the Ospreys in a 23-0 win in Round 3. 

The match will certainly play a role in next wee's URC Power Poll as No. 1 Leinster Rugby looks to hold on to the top spot for the third week in a row. 

Benetton Rugby Sliding 

Benetton Rugby entered the season with high expectations following its terrific United Rugby Championship season in 2023-2024. But the start of the year has not been kind to the club from Treviso. 

A Round 1 draw to the Scarlets followed by back-to-back drubbings from the league’s top-two clubs has Benetton at the bottom of the URC table and the No. 16 spot in this week’s URC Power Poll. 

The Emirates Lions have also stood out the last two weeks. The Lions has two impressive wins over Ulster Rugby (who beat Glasgow Warriors in Round 1) and the a 55-21 win over Edinburgh, who maybe be 0-0-3 but until last week had played two closes matches. 

Round 3 lacked the monumental upset Round 2, but the URC Power Poll has definitely been shaken. Here’s the the poll entering Round 4.
