There’s little doubt who the best team in the United Rugby Championship is through four rounds. 

Leinster Rugby made that perfectly clear in the first 15 minutes of its historic match against Munster Rugby in Round 3. 

Leinster Rugby, arguably the best European club in the sport the last four years, and certainly the best to have not won a major championship in that time period, seems to be on a warpath in 2024-2025.

The Dublin club stocked the roster, a roster that still doesn’t even have all the offseason acquisitions, to try and remedy the lack of championships the past few seasons. 

No surprise Leinster tops the power poll again this week, and for the third week in a row. 

In fact, the top four spots in the URC right now are pretty set. 

The Glasgow Warriors, the defending URC champions, and the Vodacom Bulls are returning finalists. Even though Glasgow suffered a loss during Round 1 in Belfast, it’s clear the Warriors are ready to defend their title. 

Meanwhile both the Bulls and the Emirates Lions have fared much better than their South African counterparts this season. It does help that both started the URC with back-to-back home matches in South Africa before traveling to Wales.

The rest of the URC is pure chaos, however.

Edinburgh Rugby’s 0-0-3 start seemed misleading given the team's two-week trip to South Africa following a near-win over Leinster in Week 1. Once back in Scotland this week, Edinburgh Rugby crushed the struggling DHL Stormers, who need their internationals back pronto. 

And just as we wrote Benetton Rugby off last week and thought the Hollywoodbets Sharks are poised to make a run after a thrilling come-from-behind win, the club from Treviso obliterated the Sharks in Italy.
