As the calendar flipped over into November, French Top 14 rugby brought even more excitement to FloRugby, as two of the top teams in Toulouse and Bayonne faced off in a close battle that resulted in a win for les ciel at blanc, 12-8.
It wasn't enough, however, to displace top-ranked Toulouse and its 30-point season thus far.
Things would look quite different if Bordeaux Bégles completed the comeback against ASM Clermont Auvergne on Saturday.

This all took place before a short break in action until the end of the month, adding significantly to the suspense for the return of the season in three weeks.
After this weekend's games for Round 9, there will be a short break until the end of November to make way for the Autumn Internationals.
