New Zealand All Blacks Defeat Italy 29-11 As TJ Perenara, Cane Bid Farewell
All Blacks defeat Italy 29-11 at Allianz Stadium, Turin. Notable moments include tries from Roigard, Tele’a, and Jordan, and a late Menoncello try for Italy
New Zealand All Blacks secured a 29-11 victory over Italy in their final match of the 2024 season at Allianz Stadium in Turin.
While Italy put up an enthusiastic performance, especially on defense, New Zealand’s relentless attacking play, including tries from Cam Roigard, Mark Tele'a, and Will Jordan, ultimately proved too much for the Italian side.
Italy's Tommaso Menoncello scored a late try, much to the delight of the Turin crowd, but missed conversions and turnovers ultimately doomed Italy's chances against the All Blacks.
Despite the loss, Italy’s effort against the All Blacks was a vast improvement compared to their 96-17 loss to NZ in last year's Rugby World Cup. Standout performances from the Italians include Menoncello, Garbisi, and Ioane.
The Italian side will take confidence from this game into Six Nations next year. New Zealand head for a vacation after a jam-packed year that includes a second-place finish at the Rugby Championship.
