Mirroring the famous NFL saying of 'any given Sunday,' the international game has never been more competitive, with any side in the top 8 capable of beating the other.
Behind this group, the next five to six sides are capable of making the jump closer to this bracket between now and the next World Cup, while the group behind that is equally matched amongst themselves and showing great growth.
For those players who ply their trade in the BKT United Rugby Championship, November proved that the league really does have some of the best talent in World Rugby.
Here is our FloRugby Autumn Nations Series URC Dream Team:
1. Ox Nche – Hollywoodbets Sharks
World Rugby's premier loosehead had yet another superb run of test matches in the green and gold.
Just edging Leinster and Ireland star Andrew Porter for the place on our team, the Sharks standout gets the nod due to his outlandish scrummaging prowess.
2. Dewi Lake – Ospreys
Perhaps controversial given the performances of Bongi Mbonambi, Ewan Ashman and young Gus McCarthy, but the Welsh skipper was one of the real bright sparks in what was a very challenging campaign for the men in red.
Consistently taking the fight to the opposition, Lake was strong with his line-out throwing and was one of the more dynamic carriers for Wales.
3. Zander Fagerson – Glasgow Warriors
Scotland's tighthead took one step closer to Lions honors with a strong showing in November.
The gap between him and the next best Scottish tighthead is significant, and in the British and Irish Isles, only Tadhg Furlong matches Fagerson in his general play and scrummaging ability.
4. Eben Etzebeth – Hollywoodbets Sharks
South African Rugby's most-capped player looked as good as he ever has at 33 years old with the Boks' coaching staff clearly managing his minutes throughout the year.
Against Wales, he scored a superb try, while against England, he ruined their rucking game and tormented their kickers with his charge-down attempts.
5. Joe McCarthy – Leinster
Now at the point in his career where it is McCarthy plus one in the Irish second row, the 23-year-old has brought a hard edge to the Irish pack over the past year.
Exceptionally physical, McCarthy obliterates opposition breakdowns and melts opponents in the carry and tackle.
6. Matt Fagerson – Glasgow Warriors
Scottish Rugby's Swiss army knife in the back row, the Warriors' star can cover each backrow position masterfully and has become one of his country's key carriers.
Consistently delivering 8 out of 10 performances, Fagerson inserted himself in the conversation as one of World Rugby's elite backrowers.
7. Josh van der Flier - Leinster
Back to his best, the former World Player Of The Year was far and away the best openside in the November window. Scoring crucial tries for Ireland, getting through a mountain of work in defense and offering a calming presence in chaos, van der Flier remains one of the best players in World Rugby.
8. Caelen Doris – Leinster
Linking up with his Leinster colleague, the Ireland skipper is growing into his role as Ireland's leader.
It was no surprise that he was nominated for the prestigious World Player Of The Year award in 2024.
In general play, he is close to unstoppable in one-on-one situations and is a destructive force around the breakdown.
9. Grant Williams – Hollywoodbets Sharks
Considering the quality of players the Boks have available to them in the scrumhalf berth, the fact that Williams is beginning to nudge forward as a true game-changing force shows just how impressive he is.
Over 40 meters, there are no players in World Rugby who can match the Sharks' star for pace, while his passing game and kicking are exceptional. In short, he is the complete package at scrumhalf.
10. Tomos Albornoz – Benetton
Now firmly entrenched as Los Pumas' chief playmaker, the Benetton fly-half could well be one of the most in-demand talents over the coming season.
Capable of breaking the line on his own, and with the pace to finish moves, Albornoz brings a new dimension to Felipe Contepomi's attack.
Combining this individual brilliance with a top-notch kicking game and exceptional passing and offloading abilities, Albornoz is among the elite fly-halves in professional rugby.
11. Duhan van der Merwe – Edinburgh
Duhan 'MacMerwe' is Scottish Rugby's favorite adopted son and sits proudly atop the country's try-scoring table, albeit he is only marginally ahead of clubmate Darcy Graham.
Bringing unmatched power and pace to the wide channels, van der Merwe fits perfectly into Scotland's all-out attacking game plan.
12. Sione Tuipulotu – Glasgow Warriors
Scotland's new captain might just be the best inside center in World Rugby in 2024.
Packing bundles of punch in the carry, clinical in defense and with all of the skills needed to set up those around him for success, the Glasgow star really does have it all and feels like a certain Lion in the new year.
13. Robbie Henshaw – Leinster
Edging his Leinster teammate Garry Ringrose for the outside center shirt on our team, Henshaw is aging like a fine wine.
Now 31 years old, he is at the peak of his powers and looks world-class in both the 12 and 13 shirts for both province and country.
Looking likely to be in a shootout with Ringrose, Tuipulotu, Ollie Lawrence, Bundee Aki and Huw Jones for a place in the midfield, it would be foolish to bet against him not claiming one of the spots.
14. Kurt-Lee Arendse – Vodacom Bulls
Sure, he is off to Japan for a sabbatical, but the Vodacom Bulls flier is still a URC player.
Forming the best wing combination in international rugby with Cheslin Kolbe, the Bulls pocket rocket is close to unplayable at the moment.
Super slippery in the carry, ultra-intelligent in defense and lethal in the air, KLA was epically good for the Boks in 2024.
15. Hugo Keenan – Leinster
Perhaps underappreciated, the Leinster and Ireland fullback is among the three best players in the world in position at any one time.
Covering the backfield like a Cheetah stalking its prey before exploding into action on the counter-attack, Keenan was one of the few stabilizing forces for an Ireland side that is beginning its rebuild ahead of the 2027 World Cup.
