The two SA squads last played in June, in Round 18 of last year's URC campaign.
The Stormers persevered in that game, despite being a man down due to a red card, 29-24.
This time around, though, the Stormers have slid down the URC table, currently sitting 13th in the standings, a full eight spots behind the Lions.
The Stormers also are coming off a 53-16 shellacking at the hands of Harlequins in the Champions Cup.
The Lions, who play in the Challenge Cup, defeated Pau last week, 43-25.
