As the calendar turns over to start another year, rugby fans are chomping at the bit as they inch ever closer to the next major international tournament, Six Nations 2025. 

The Irish, who nearly ran the board last year, will be looking for another title and the Grand Slam in 2025.

France finished second, and England was the only team to beat Ireland last year, by one point. 

Scotland, Italy and Wales rounded out the bottom three teams, with the Welsh taking home the wooden spoon for the first time since 2003. 

Italy will be a team to watch in 2025, after finishing fifth. Italy garnered wins against Scotland and Wales, and drew against the almighty French. 

Tommaso Menoncello also was named the Player of the Championship after a valiant effort from the Benetton center throughout the tournament that helped his team to an impressive finish.
