The Glasgow Warriors delivered a commanding performance at Scotstoun Stadium, defeating Racing 92 29-19 in a pulsating Round 3 Investec Champions Cup clash on Jan. 10

The hosts returned after nearly a month break between the second and third round of the tournament and built a 17-0 lead in the first half.

The loss by the Racing 92 all but eliminates the team from Paris from advancing to the knockout stage and puts them in a tough spot to qualify for the EPCR Challenge Cup knockout rounds.

The Warriors are set take the lead in the table of Pool 4 if RC Toulon falls to the Harlequins on Sunday.

Glasgow Warriors Dominate Early

Glasgow started with a bang, with George Horne scoring a try in the second minute and converting it himself for an early 7-0 lead.

Jamie Dobie followed with a try in the 17th minute, extending the Warriors' advantage to 12-0 after Tom Jordan missed the conversion.

Seb Cancelliere added a third try in the 22nd minute, taking the score to 17-0.

Racing 92 responded through Vinaya Habosi’s try in the 33rd minute, converted by Tristan Tedder, to narrow the gap to 17-7.

However, Sione Tuipulotu crossed the line for Glasgow just before halftime, ensuring a commanding 22-7 lead at the break, despite another missed conversion by Jordan.

Glasgow Warriors Hold Off Racing 92's Fightback

Glasgow maintained control early in the second half, with Rory Darge scoring a try in the 58th minute, converted by Jordan, to push the lead to 29-7.

Racing 92 showed late resilience with tries from Lee-Marvin Mazibuko in the 71st minute and Tedder in the 75th, though Tedder missed the latter conversion.

A yellow card to Matt Fagerson in the 69th minute briefly left Glasgow down a man, but the Warriors' defense held firm to secure the 29-19 victory.
