Every four years, the Women's Rugby World Cup brings together the best international women's rugby teams in the world to compete on the global stage and represent their countries in the most elite tournament in the sport.
New Zealand's Black Ferns have dominated the highest level of competition, taking the world title back to the Kiwis.
In 2025's edition, the field has been expanded with 16 teams qualifying for the four pools in the initial group stage. Only the top two teams from each pool will move into the knockout quarterfinals.
