Toulouse Rugby is in the hunt for a fifth consecutive Investec Champions Cup title for a French club, and look to win their third Cup in five years.
The defending champions entered the tournament as heavy favorites, finishing a perfect 4-0-0 in pool play. However, it was Union Bordeaux-Bègles (UBB) that just beat them in points to claim the top spot in Pool 1.

Despite being the No. 3 seed overall, Toulouse still was considered one of the favorites to win it all, largely thanks to having the world’s No. 1 player, Antoine Dupont, in its ranks. But that's changed.
In the first weekend of March, just a month before the Round of 16, Dupont tore his ACL in France’s decisive Six Nations win over Ireland.
Though Toulouse still boasts the second-most international players of any club in the competition, the team has struggled without Dupont this season.
The Sale Sharks, who finished third in Pool 4, will be eager to test just how vulnerable the defending champions are.
They sealed their playoff spot by obliterating RC Toulon in the fourth round, securing a 33-7 win.

When Do The Investec Champions Cup Playoffs Begin In 2025?
The Investec Champions Cup Playoffs kick off with the Round of 16 on April 4, as the Northampton Saints take on Clermont Rugby. The remaining seven games of the round will be played April 5-6.
The quarterfinals will follow from April 11-13, with a short break until the semifinals on May 2-4.
The Champions Cup Final will take place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on May 24.
