And yet, the craziest of them all came in the form of a 62-point shutout trample of Harlequins at the hand of Leinster Rugby.
The four-time champions looked rocky for about 15 seconds at the start of the match, then shifted into overdrive and never looked back.
And now, Leinster will move to the quarterfinals.
Despite Leinster's obliteration of Harlequins, the face off against the Glasgow Warriors is likely to be much more of a proper match.
The Warriors convincingly took down Leicester 43-19 in their first Champions Cup knockout game hosted at Scotstoun Stadium and simply will not lay down to be Leinster's second steamrolling of the playoffs.

When Do The Investec Champions Cup Playoffs Begin In 2025?
The Investec Champions Cup Playoffs kicked off with the Round of 16 on April 4, as the Northampton Saints took on Clermont Rugby. The remaining seven games of the round were played April 5-6.
The quarterfinals follow from April 11-13, with a short break until the semifinals on May 2-4.
The Champions Cup Final will take place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on May 24.
