ARP Latest: Old Blue Strong, Merlins Win
News from the Atlantic Rugby Premiership with Glendale v Mystic and also updated on Old Blue, Life University, and NYAC.

The Glendale Merlins defeated Mystic River in convincing fashion in a non-American Rugby Premiership game on Saturday at Infinity Park in Glendale, CO.
Led by some stalwart efforts from Casey Rock and John Quill in the forwards, the Merlins won 64-7 to drop Mystic to 0-2.
The ARP really only has three teams, so two other top-level clubs that want fall games are included in the schedule. Those two "outside teams," Glendale and the Life Running Eagles, don't actually push for the league title.
Glendale ran out to a 19-0 lead with tries from some capped Eagles, including Bryce Campbell, who started it all off, and hooker Zach Fenoglio, who capped it a nice maul. Connor Cook also touched down before Mystic got its lone try. Fenoglio scored his second in tight, and John Ryberg added one on the wing, while USA flyhalf Will Magie converted three for a 31-7 halftime lead.
In the second half, the Merlins received tries from capped players Shaun Davies and Peter Dahl, along with Rock, Brian Wanless, and recent Air Force Academy grad Grigor Kerdikoshvili. Magie converted four of those tries to make it 64-7.
NYAC leads the ARP thanks to having played two games and earned four-try bonus points in both. But Winged Foot lost quite badly to Old Blue in its opener before beating Mystic River last week. Old Blue looks to be the class of the group so far.
