How big a deal is it to have Mike Te'o back in the USA lineup? Consider Bryce Campbell's comments.

"When we've got someone like Mikey, he's got great speed, he's going to make people miss, and he's got great skills, too," said the center. That, he said, was why he quickly passed off to Te'o in the movement that produced the final USA try of the evening against Brazil—John Quill's effort that clinched the victory.

But there's more to it than that. Te'o scored a try and set up another with an audacious pass off a defender's head for Hanco Germishuys. Four USA tries; three scored to partially created by Te'o.

And there's more to it, even, than that. Did you know that no player has scored more tries in the ARC than Te'o? His score against Brazil was his 10th over the three-plus years of the competition. His 14 tries for the USA in all test matches ties him with Cam Dolan for 6th all-time. By scoring his 14th, he passed the legendary Taku Ngwenya.

And Te'o has done this in 22 test matches. The only player with a better strike rate among the USA try leaders is Joe Taufete'e—15 tries in 20 matches.

More ARC Stats

Te'o is comfortably in the lead in all-time ARC tries. For the 2019 season alone, there is currently a four-player tie among AJ MacGinty (USA) Kainoa Lloyd (Canada), Lautaro Bavaro (Argentina XV), and Julián Dominguez Widmer (Argentina XV).

As for points scored, Gordon McRorie of Canada leads all scorers by a massive margin. His eight points with the boot last week put him over 100 for the entire run of the ARC. He has 107 now. The next most of Moises Duque of Brazil with 74.

Leading the 2019 is—no surprise— Brazil flyhalf Josh Reeves, who has logged 34 points, all with the boot. Canada's Ciaran Hearn is second with 28.
