Barbarians Women Name Impressive Squad To Face USA
Barbarians FC has named a preliminary squad to face the USA Women's National Team April 26 in Glendale, CO, with 19 players from nine different countries involved.
Eighteen of the players are capped for their country, but, as is the tradition for Barbarians, one player, in this case lock forward Amelia Buckland-Hurry of the Bristol Bears in England, is uncapped.

This historic game—the first Barbarians game against the USA, and one of the first for the women's Barbarians team—will be shown LIVE on FloRugby on April 26.
New Zealand’s World Cup winners Fiao’o Fa’amausili, Steph Te Ohaere-Fox, Linda Itunu, and Emma Jensen are among the players, as are former USA players Hannah Stolba and Carmen Farmer.
Head coach and former New Zealand great Anna Richards has also invited players from Australia, Canada, England, Ireland, the Netherlands, Scotland, and Wales, and more are expected to be named after the English premiership playoffs.
The 129 year-old Barbarians club launched their women’s team in 2017-18 with wins against Munster (19-0) and the British Army (37-0). They will take on England for the first time as part of a doubleheader at Twickenham on June 2.
