The Cardiac Canadians Are Back At NAI 7s
NAI 7s, Misfits, Upright Rogues
The Canadians were masters of the finish at NAI 7s last year.
The Misfits hoisted the U20s cup and the Upright Rogues took the U18 trophy, and both had the ability to close out games with no time on the clock.

Misfit Magic
The 2018 U20 Misfits were as highly touted as any side heading into the tournament with World Series tested speedster Josiah Mora headlining the bunch.
Until they dropped a match to the Rogues.
“We gave the Misfits their only loss on the weekend, so I’m sure they’re looking for bitter revenge this year,” said Rogues coach Tyler Leggatt.
At one point it looked like that loss to the Rogues would keep the Misfits out of the final. Until EIRA beat the Rogues.
Going into the final pool play match the situation was this: if the Misfits could somehow beat undefeated EIRA by 18 points or more then they would break the three-way tie and also push the Rogues to the 3rd place spot and keep them out of the final.
The Misfits thumped EIRA 31-7, and kicked the ball into touch knowing the Rogues would have to watch the two teams play again in the final.
The Misfits went on to win 26-12.
The Reigning Rogues
The Rogues breezed through pool play.
Then they ran into an inspired Atlantis Black team that was fresh off an upset of their own program’s Atlantis Teal squad.
Atlantis Black scored first on the Rogues and camped inside the Rogues’ 22-meter line for what seemed like the entire first half. Then Jordan Ng put in the first of his four tries in the match.
Back and forth Atlantis would score and Jordan Ng would score until the final whistle blew and Ng gripped his tape strapped knee in the corner of the try zone as his Rogue teammates celebrated his match-winning fourth try.
In the final the Rogues met old their Canadian foes, the Upright Rogues.
Down 14-5, Jordan Ng scored an 80 meter try to put the Rogues down only two at halftime. Then with just a minute left Ng serpentined through the defense for another 80-meter try to give the Rogues the 22-19 win.
The Rogues are back, so is Jordan Ng, and so too are the Misfits.
