Tests Postponed For The Rugby Championship & Bunning NPC
The decision was made due to covid travel restrictions that would not allow teams to enter New Zealand.
As we approach our second weekend of action for The Rugby Championship, the news broke that New Zealand's third test against Australia has been postponed. The decision was made due to covid travel restrictions.
In addition to The Rugby Championship/Bledisloe Cup test being halted for the All Blacks and Wallabies, the Bunning NPC will also have to stop play in New Zealand as well.
According to Provincial Rugby, "NZR General Manager Community Rugby Steve Lancaster said the decision had been made in consultation with Provincial Unions and the Players’ Association in the interests of wider public safety due to the latest COVID-19 community outbreak."
It is also being reported by Provincial Rugby that the Bunning NPC tests may be rescheduled for a later date.
However, in an exclusive reported by RugbyPass, Sanzaar is considering a location change to Europe in order for play to continue at The Rugby Championship. The article states that "four double-headers are tentatively being planned for Paris, London, Dublin and Cardiff."
