Eben Etzebeth tied former Springbok teammate Victor Matfield for the most caps in South Africa Rugby history in the second half against Argentina on Sept. 21 in South America. 

The 32-year-old star who plays professionally for the Hollywoodbets Sharks of the United Rugby Championship entered the game in the first 10 minutes of the second half in Santiago del Estero.

Etzebeth has helped the Springboks win two Rugby World Cups during his international career and earned his 127th cap for the Boks. The massive (nearly 6-foot-9-inches tall, 258 pounds) lock has been a Springbok mainstay since 2012. 

His tying record came an hour after teammate Handre Pollard became the second all-time leading score for the Springboks.
